Land Reclamation Project for 24 Luxury Villas
at the Bahrain Ritz Carlton Hotel

This project involved the reclamation and levelling of 80,000 square metres of land from the sea to facilitate the construction of 24 luxury villas in the Seef District. This work comprised large quantities of rock excavation from the seabed and construction of coastal rock structures to protect the reclaimed land from the sea and also involved the creation of a new sand beach. The project was completed successfully and within an accelerated 3-month schedule.

LuLu Roundabout – Central Market, Seef District

The Company actively participated in the sea reclamation program for this high-profile development in the Seef District. The project was performed in-the-sea at a depth of approximately 8 metres under difficult marine conditions. A 1.5 kilometre long rock bund 100 metres wide was constructed to facilitate installation of teh main road. The project also involved the construction of an anchor wall structure for the main fibre-optics marine cables (FOG) in deep sea for Batelco, Bahrain’s national telecommunications provider. This also included twin-pipe sub-aqueous installations at an underwater depth of 8 metres. The FOG is one of the most important Batelco cables linking Bahrain to its neighbouring countries. Al Hassanain Co is proud of its accomplishments on this project which required the Company to meet its objectives while operating in a very harsh marine climate... a challenge that was met and completed with complete success.
